Destinations for offshore cruises are usually Sydney Harbour, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens or Terrigal. Each skipper venturing offshore is responsible for the suitability of their yacht and the safety of their crew. Crewing positions are often available for those members who do not wish to take their boat offshore.

Members please note:

Trip leaders are asked to coordinate the weekend's events and to send an email or post a notice on the wall with event details- meeting times, venue etc.

Trip leaders are requested to submit trip reports direct to Sue Johnston as soon possible after the event so they can be posted in the Mainsheet.

Members participating in an event are asked to notify on the Wall or email the trip leader by THURSDAY evening prior to the event.

Radio Call sign when participating in an event is SYCEE (pron. SIGH SEE) call on VHF – Ch 16 and talk on Ch 17 or 77

If you are the nominated trip leader and you are unable to participate, it would be appreciated if you would advise the Cruise Secretary or try to find a replacement leader.

Cruise Secretary - Dallas O'Brien is available on mobile 0404 892 077.

Towlers Rendezvous

2019 Towlers Rendezvous SYCC Invitation

Sailing Skills Challenge

SYCC members have been invited to participate in the Towlers Rendezvous. It is not a race but a sailing skills challenge. It costs nothing to participate. Historically people rafted up in Towlers the night before the event then rafted up again on the Sunday afternoon to share stories.

In more recent times people pack their boats away, then meet on the balcony at the Pittwater Aquatic Club late Sunday afternoon for a beverage.

Please contact David Harpur at harpur2@tpg.com.auif you would like to participate.

Check the schedule and note that when Course B is scheduled, people spend the night at Hallett’s Beach, America or Refuge Bays so they are close to the beginning of the course.
